Info for your China vacations – Italian restaurants in Beijing

This article is about the Italian restaurants in Beijing. You can find some useful info in it if you are planning your China vacations now. (especially for the Italian food fans)

Beijing is an international city in China and you can find a lot of good Italian restaurants here.

1. Trattoria La:

This restaurant is located in a 5 stars hotel. The Italian food here is genuine and the eating surroundings are pretty good. You can watch the live band shows here. In most Chinese people’s mind, this place is a good choice to throw a big party with the foreign guests. The cost here is not low, especially for the red wines. Eating in this place will be a good experienc for your China vacations. Its breads and appetizers are delicious. I like the sea food macaroni (95 rmb) and pizza (75 – 98 rmb) here very much. Their services are not bad, especially for the foreign customers. :-)

The average cost for one person is about 280 rmb here. 35 rmb for the Qingdao beer. 35 rmb for the tea. Here is the address: 50 Liangmaqiaolu Street, 1st floor of the Main Store Of Yansha, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. Tel: 64653388-5707. (useful china vacations info)

2. Panino Teca:

This restaurant’s logo is very attractive. It is the Chinese letter “?” made with three colors: red, white and green. These three colors are from the Italian national flag. Pretty cool, right? Its decorations are in the concise style. The waiters and waitresses here are nice. I will recommend its ciabatta bread. The cheese cakes here are all made with the genuine Italian cheese. You can see lots of foreign customers here every day. They are from the embassies nearby and you will get a feeling that you are not eating in a restaurant in China. Panino Teca is a very good place for you to have some real Italian food in Beijing.  :-)

Here is the address: 1 Sanlitunbeixiaojie Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. Tel: 84541797.(info for your china vacations and travel)

3. Adria:

Its chefs – GIUSEPPE and RAFFAELE – are both very good chefs from Italy. You can have plenty of choices here: more than 140 types of Italian food. Just for the pizzas, they have 28 different types for you to choose. This place is the favourite of most Italians living in Beijing. There are only 1,000 Italians here in Beijing and Adria’s waiters or waitresses can recognize almost every Italian people in this city. I like the sea food spaghetti(68 rmb) here. It is very genuine and delicious.

The average cost here is 110 rmb for one person. 17 rmb for the Qingdao beer. 20 rmb for the tea. Here is the address: 16 Xinyuanjie Street (close to the Jingcheng Mansion), Chaoyang District, Beijing. Tel: 64600896 / 64647362.(info for your china vacations and tours)

4. Hutong Pizza:

This is a little restaurant but you can see the mix of the western and eastern culture here. Hutong is like a logo of the old Beijing city and Pizza is also like a symbol for the Italian food. All the food here are made by hand and are more delicious than the fast food restaurants in Beijing. Its salad dressing is unique and you will need to try it at least once. The Italian dumpling is like the mix of the Chinese dumpling and the Italian pizza. Very interesting. You can try its Italian sausage(56 rmb) and vegetable pizza(58 rmb) too.

The average cost here is about 50 rmb for one person. 15 rmb for the Qingdao beer. 20 rmb for the tea. Here is the address: 9 Yingdingqiao Hutong, Xicheng District, Beijing, China. Tel: 66175916.

Beijing Flights, Shanghai Flights Info For Your China Vacations-Airlines In China

This article is about the Beijing flights, Shanghai flights and China vacations. You can find some useful information in it if you are planning your China vacations now.

There are many airline companies in China. The big three are Air China,China Eastern, China Southern. Now the best way to get your air tickets is from their web sites. Usually, you can get a good deal if you book your tickets 30-60 days in advance. You will find it impossible to get any discount if you wanna book the tickets 10 days earlier. I once bought a ticket from Beijing to Shanghai at 80% off and the main reason is that I booked my ticket 60 days in advance.

Many people have this kind of experience: when they called the Chinese travel agents to book the airline tickes, the price is usually more expensive than the price in the airline companies’ own web sites. This is because the electronic tickets have lowered the costs of sales for the airline companies and they are encouraging the customers to buy the electronic tickets from their web sites.

Here is some useful information about the electronic tickets in China:
1. How to pay?
The most convinient way is to pay by credit card(they accept visa, mastercard, discover cards, etc. I will recommend the discover card because it has no foreign transaction fees). If you are booking your tickets by phone, you can just provide your credit card information(card number, exp date, ower name, etc) to the airline companies. For the online booking, it is also very convinient and all you need to do is to follow the web sites’ instructions and input your credit card datas. If you do not have a credit card, you can choose to pay cash(get tickets from the airline companies’ offices in the downtown. Sometimes they can deliver the tickets to your home).

2. How to get the flight schedule(invoice)?
The flight schedule is acting like the invoice and it can be used to get compensations for your business travel. If you do not need this flights schedule, you can just get your boarding pass using your official ID and you don’t need to waste time in this flight schedule. If you need this for getting compensations from your company, you can get it in 4 different ways: (1). Get it from the airline company’s counters in the airport. (2). Get it from the airline company’s offices in the downtown. (3). Ask the airline company to send it to your home if you are booking your tickets through a travel agent. (4). Ask the airline company to mail it to you. In these 4 options, I think the best way is to ask them to mail it to you. You can just provide your mailing address online when you are booking your tickets and the airline company will mail the flight schedule to you in 1 or 2 weeks.(You can get more information about China vactions and Beijing flights at Travel2ChinaInfo Dot COM)

3. How to get a refund?
(1). If you did not ask them to send you the flight schedule, you can get the refund immediately(you will need to pay for the refund fees of course).  (2). If you already got the flight schedule from the airline company, you will need to return this to the ailine company. They will process your refund request after they receive your flight schedule.

China Vacations: Luxury Travel to Beijing and Beyond

China vacations involve more than just travel to Beijing – the country has opened up over the past few years, and many of China’s secrets are now open to the west, even those on a Chinese vacation.

Vacations to China are becoming increasingly popular and a growing number of travel operators are offering China vacations at cut prices to those wanting to find out the secrets of the Orient that have been hidden from western eyes for so long. However, cheap vacations come at a price, if not in hard cash.

First, it is a long flight to China, and can be very uncomfortable if you are packed into a chartered plane seated to pack as many people in as possible so as to keep the costs low. There is nothing wrong with that if it is what you want, and most people are able to withstand the discomfort of little room to stretch out on a long haul flight. For others, however, it is a problem. Then there is the transport once your vacation has started.  If you are sharing your holiday with 49 others, the needs of the average are catered for, and these might not be your needs.

The same is true of hotels that are chosen because they can offer the number of rooms needed to meet the needs of a large party, and the menu for many of the meals will be set to be easily cooked for a large number of people at the lowest possible cost. If these arrangements don’t appeal to you, what are your alternatives?

Some people try to arrange and book their own China vacations, but find it too difficult, considering all the arrangements needed, airport taxes, hotel bookings, entrance fees, local travel and so on. The best way by far is to deal with a travel company that can offer you the luxury and personal attention that China vacations need if you are to enjoy your travel to Beijing and everywhere else in China you want to visit.

Your flights should at least be business class to allow you the leg room and cabin staff attentiveness that you need on a longer flight. Travel should be personal, and not as part of a crowd.  You and your partner should have a car to yourselves, driven by your own guide, not share a 52 seater bus. Your hotels should be individually booked, and chosen for their excellence, not their cheap price, and you should be able to choose your own menus.

You might think that such travel companies are difficult to find, or if you did find one, your travel would be severely restricted to allow such a high level of personal service.  If so, you would be wrong on both counts.  However, for now, let’s consider what good China vacations should involve, apart from the personal service and luxury travel.

Travel to Beijing is a must, with a visit to the Forbidden City, the ancient seat of the Chinese emperors that sits right in front of the famous (or infamous) Tiananmen Square. Not as part of a large group, but privately, just you and your partner. With 9,999 buildings, it was forbidden for a non-aristocrat or royal to enter it prior to 1911. A visit to the Peking Opera is also a must, as is a delicious meal of Peking duck!

Many Chinese vacations stop at Beijing, or perhaps include a brief visit to the Wall, and if you want more you have to look around and make sure that the vacation you book involves more than just travel to Beijing and the Forbidden City that seems to satisfy many people.  You must at least visit the Summer Palace with its marble boat built by the Empress Cixi with funds embezzled from the navy, and the Temple of Heaven, larger than the Forbidden City. You must also visit the Great Wall and enjoy a traditional Chinese banquet of several different course.

Everybody has heard of the terracotta warriors in Xian: thousands of them, life-size with horses and chariots, and you must also pay a visit to Chengdu to see a real live panda. Also, don’t forget that China is close to Tibet, and you could pay a visit to Lhasa and see Mount Everest and the palaces of the Dalai Lama.  Visitors are allowed to visit the chambers and to look out on Lhasa from the seven storey White Palace. However, back to China.

All China vacations should allow you to spend some time on one o China’s many rivers and watch the cormorants that are trained to dive for fish:  their necks are slightly constricted to prevent them from swallowing the fish.  It might sound cruel, but it seems to do them no harm.  A visit to Shanghai should also be included on your itinerary, along with a cruise down the Huangpu River. In fact there are many rivers in this part of China that you should visit by boat, but you have to get all this organized in advance.

The main problem with Chinese vacations is that if you want anything more than just to travel to Beijing, you can’t just head off anywhere you want when you feel like it.  China is not France or the UK.  Tourism is allowed, but only if organized in advance and all permissions are granted. That’s why it is so important to seek out the type of Chinese vacation you want prior to setting off.  You can’t change midway.

Chinese vacations can be magnificent and awe-inspiring, and they can also be pretty boring if you have already visited Beijing. Which you get is your choice, but remember that you are generally stuck with what you book, although there might be some tours you can book when in Beijing.  Generally, however, vacations to China are best organized in advance with a good travel company experienced in providing you with luxury travel and comprehensive travel to make sure that you visit as many places as possible in the time available to you.

China Vacations And Beijing Flights Info – Shopping In Beijing

This article is about the China vacations and you can find some useful information in it if you are planning your China vacations now.

As a Beijinger, I am here to recommend you some cool places for your shopping in Beijing:
1. Guanyuan market:
It is like the outlet in the U.S. and you can get very good deals here. This place is many people’s first choice if they wanna do some shopping in Beijing. You can get all kinds of stuffs here:clothings,dresses,shoes,boots,handbags,t-shirts,etc. The address is: 7th St. Guyuan,Beijing.

2. Dongsi:
The clothings in the northern street of Dongsi are mainly in the casual style and very personalized. In the stores of the southern street of Dongsi, they sell the professional dresses. The stuffs in Dongsi is not bad and you can get very good deals if you are good at bargaining. The only bad comments I got is that some shop owners are snobbish.

3. Jiayi fashion square:
It is in the opposite of Kunlun Hotel and close to Yansha Shopping Mall. There are some stores selling imported goods here and the price is a little bit high comparing with other places in Beijing. These stores are in very good business and you can not bargain here.  :-)

4. Xidan Huawei:
This place is pretty cool and I will recommend the stores in the 7th floor. You can get many cool stuffs there if you have very good tastes in clothings.

5. Zhongliang square:
There is a store named “New Romance” in Zhongliang square. I like it although it is not a cheap store. Another notable store here is called “Hot Wind”. It is a shoes store. The shoes there are very fashionable and the price is pretty reasonable. It is always in very good business and I once met a famouse Chinese pop star Mangjiang in the “Hot Wind”.

6. Wudaokou:
Most stores here sell the Korean and Japanese style clothings. You can get very good deals if you are good at bargaining. There is also a cinema named “Wudaokou Cinema” here. The Beijing Language and Culture University is here and lots of Korean and Japanese students live here. This is why the stores here all choose to sell the clothings in Korean or Japanese style.

7. Zoo market:
It is another famouse outlet in Beijing. This market is close to the Beijing Zoo and you can find lots of good stuffs here. I like the Korean style clothings here and everything here is very cheap.

8. Lady’s Street:
It is close to the embassy areas of Beijing. The most popular clothings here are in the Korean and Japanese style. I like a little store here named “MP3 Korean Clothings”. It sells the sportswears and many Korean and Japanese customers visit here too.

China Vacations,Beijing Flights And Travel Info – Nightlife In Beijing

This article is about the China vacations and Beijing travel. You can find some useful information in it if you are booking your Beijing flights now.

1. About the Beijing flights: The first thing you need to know is that the airfares for USA domestic flights and for international flights are totally different. There is no strict regalation to the domestic airfares, which means the airline companies can sell the tickets at any price they want. Because of this, the best deal you can get is through the airline website. But for the international airfares, it is another story. The international airfares are still regulated both by international treaties and IATA(International Air Transportation Association). All sales of international tickets at lower price than the official fares are made through travel agencies, not directly by the airline companies. The price you can get depends on rebating of commissions by travel agents to clients. Here are some Chinese travel agents I recommend(more information about the Beijing flights at Travel2ChinaInfo Dot COM):
(1). Namei Travel Group,tel:800-508-6936,718-303-2445
(2). LLL Intl Travel, tel:888-883-8815,800-789-6128,718-886-9884

It is more like an American pub(like Arena of L.A. or Ten 15 of S.F.). Many good hip pop dancers love this place. If you are hungry, you can get very delicious Italian or French food in the second floor of this pub. Here is the address and phone number of MIX: West Gongtibeimen, Beijing. Tel:65302889 / 65302689.

(2). Babyface: A spcecail feature of this pub is the huge screen in it. You can see a huge screen behind the DJ and it is a very cool feature of this pub. Sometimes the screen will show some pictures of old video games, very interesting, :-)   . Bayface has 2 parts, one is for the electronic music and the other is for the hip pop music. There are also some VIP rooms in it. The address and phone number of Babyface: 6 Gongtixilu, Beijing (near the Gongti 100 bowling club), tel: 010-65519081.
